Join us in celebration of the Marjorie Kovler Center on May 14 at the Palmer House
(Chicago – May 7, 2019) – Heartland Alliance International’s (HAI) Power of Healing benefit will feature keynote speaker, Hillary Rodham Clinton. The May 14 event at the Palmer House Hilton will bring together leading advocates of human rights and victims of torture to celebrate the transformative work of the Marjorie Kovler Center, as well as its founder, Peter Kovler.
“It is an honor to participate in Heartland Alliance International’s event in celebration of its Marjorie Kovler Center. Through the organization’s focus on healing, it is transforming lives and providing many with the ability to begin anew,” said Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Hillary Rodham Clinton, a leader of tremendous international significance and one synonymous with human rights, joins HAI for this year’s event. She is a global leader who made history as a First Lady, a U.S. Senator, a Secretary of State, and an advocate for causes aligned with HAI’s mission. For more than three decades, she has fearlessly devoted her life to building a world that protects women and girls, refugees, religious minorities, and LGBT+ individuals, and is free of torture.

HAI’s Power of Healing benefit will feature stories of healing and resilience that reflects our commitment to human rights and improving the lives of survivors of torture in Chicago and around the world.
