Harm Reduction in the House 2017: Resourceful Resistance

9 AM – 5 PM, Friday, September 15, 2017

registration begins at 8:15 AM

Mundelein Center for Fine and Performing Arts

Loyola University, 1020 W Sheridan Rd, Chicago, IL 60660

Last year, we focused on growing from our roots, getting back to basics, and evolving from there. This year has seen particular challenges in a new political landscape that threatens the very core of our work. We invite you to dig in to that core, to come together with your creative community to build resourceful resistance for us to continue our work as we’ve always done and brave the oncoming storm.

This annual conference focuses on the process, challenges, and advantages of creating and working in housing programs that embrace harm reduction—that is, housing that does not require abstinence from risky behaviors as the ticket for admission.

In our 7th annual conference, we will continue to broaden the conversation about harm reduction to include other risky behaviors, new groups of people who could benefit, and a deepening of our skills and understanding.  We are also committed to welcoming any interested parties to the table, and encourage those who are curious and new to this compassionate philosophy to join us.
