Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Food Stamp Employment & Training (FSET) Program

The SNAP FSET program is a job training program with a major focus on helping individuals improve their work skills and obtain employment placement. As part of these activities, individuals receive assistance with transportation and may enroll in GED classes or short-term career enhancement training and employment placement services.

Eligibility Criteria:

• 18 years of age, and not older than 59
• Receiving Food Stamps
• Not receiving Unemployment Insurance
• Physically and mentally able to work

Applying for Services:

• Individuals must enroll with an IDHS 2151 referral form that can be given by their IDHS case manager.

   
Referral and Intake:

• Referral from Illinois Department of Human Services required
