Mental Health

Achieving optimal health when struggling with a mental illness is challenging. Finding housing, primary care or eating healthy foods – all key elements for a healthy life – frequently become insurmountable.

HHO has provided mental health services for 30 years, focusing on those with a serious mental illness and the fewest resources. We believe that addressing mental illness is a prerequisite to improving health.

HHO’s mental health services include:

  • Counseling for individuals and groups
  • Addiction services
  • Trauma and post-trauma counseling
  • In-network provider referrals

Behavioral health services are provided in a variety of settings to address diverse populations and illnesses. We provide these services in a variety of locations including:

  • Our health centers
  • Our residential programs for people with serious mental illness and/or addictions
  • Our Resource Center for homeless participants
  • Our West Side food and nutrition program center for participants with HIV
  • In the homes of our participants
  • On the streets and in shelters

We also serve specialty populations, including:

  • People experiencing homelessness
  • Refugees
  • People with HIV
  • People with serious mental illness
