At Heartland Alliance Health, we understand the significant impact dental disease has on overall health. The mouth is often where the first signs of disease occur.
For the people who are homeless, lack access to nutritious foods and have not had dental care throughout their lives, dental disease is prevalent, as is its negative impact on their health. Infections, inability to eat diverse foods due to dental issues and loss of teeth are common and require professional and proactive care.
Our expert team of dentists work with participants to treat dental issues, provide education and improve dental health.
Our comprehensive dental services include:
- Comprehensive exams and x-rays
- Simple and deep cleanings covered for pregnant participants with Medicaid
- Specialist referrals through a network of providers
- Treatment for people who are HIV positive
We have a five-chair dental suite at the Uptown Health Center with state-of-the-art technology and equipment.
