Tuberculosis Supportive Housing Program

Tuberculosis Supportive Housing Program provides housing services and medical observation for individuals who are homeless or in need of transitional housing and have active cases of tuberculosis. The TB rate is 11 times higher among the Chicago homeless population than the general population.



Services Offered:
  • Screening homeless persons at shelters for TB
  • Providing direct observational treatment with TB medication
  • Providing temporary housing for individuals with active TB
