Through our policy and advocacy efforts, Heartland Alliance works for big picture change to improve the quality of life for people in poverty and danger. Our 120 years of experience providing direct service at the community level gives us a unique understanding about what works and the barriers that people face. We aim to advance proven solutions and improve government policies at the local, state, and federal levels. We lead by developing policy proposals, building strategic alliances, and pursuing legislative action.
