The International Youth Center (IYC) provides housing, counseling, case management and family reunification services to unaccompanied immigrant boys, ages 10-17, who have been apprehended by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and referred through the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR). IYC is a 15-bed facility licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) as a Child Care Institution and serves boys age 10-17 in need of a more structured environment due to behavioral and mental health issues. The program provides housing, case management, counseling, education, medical care, recreation, and family reunification services.
