Heartland Human Care Services was one of ten organizations were selected through a competitive proposal process for community work in neighborhoods of high poverty and health disparity. Healthy Places is a joint partnership between the Chicago Department of Public Health and CLOCC to implement sustainable policies and environmental changes that address obesity in Chicago by creating healthier environments where Chicagoans live, work, learn, and play. HHCS will conduct walkability assessments around schools and parks and focus on breastfeeding education and support.
