Gender-Based Violence Prevention - Iraq

Bookmark and Share

The Gender-Based Violence Prevention program is working with Iraqi non-governmental organizations in six governorates to provide direct legal, social mediation, and medical services to victims of gender-based violence in the criminal justice system and the family court system. Partner organizations are monitoring, documenting, and reporting on the detention conditions of female detainees and court procedures, and providing legal representation to push for policy changes to help victims of gender-based violence.
