Employment & Adjustment Services guides adult refugees, asylees, and other immigrants to self-sufficiency through job-readiness counseling, referral services, job placement, and ongoing post-placement support and counseling. Special services (federal matching grant program) are available for refugees, asylees, and victims of trafficking who are enrolled within 31 days after arrival or grant of status.   



Services Offered:
  • Employment case management
  • Referrals to internal and external employment/adjustment resources (USCIS, English classes, job readiness training)
  • Acculturation and adjustment case management
  • Job readiness education
  • Transportation assistance
   
Eligibility Criteria:
  • Must be identified by U.S. Department of State as a refugee and have I-94 Refugee Documentation
  • Must be granted asylum by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
  • Must be certified as survivor of torture or victim of trafficking by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
  • Must agree and adhere to the client service agreement
