New Release! The Social IMPACT Research Center has released a series of fact sheets that contain analysis of the latest poverty trends, income dynamics, and health insurance coverage estimates for the year 2008 as well as for the 3-year period of 2006-2008 released recently by the Census Bureau. Find data on your local community.

The Social IMPACT Research Center, formerly the Heartland Alliance Mid-America Institute on Poverty, is a full-service research and evaluation resource. Our aim is to provide dynamic research and analysis on today's most pressing social issues and solutions to help equip you in your work toward a just global society.

IMPACT offers a variety of research services designed to help your organization meet its goals, including: Customized research projects - program evaluations, needs assessments, mapping, focus groups, surveys, case studies, and more; Data services - data requests, data subscriptions, or data/research review contracts, Other services - facilitating planning processes, running coalitions, providing trainings, and other expert consulting.

Events

IMPACT’s Amy Rynell and Amy Terpstra will be presenting at the 2010 Census Conference, hosted by the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration, on February 26, 2010. They will discuss how the American Community Survey can help administrators, advocates, funders, policymakers, and others make data-driven decisions.
