In response to conversations and enthusiasm across the state, the From Poverty to Opportunity Campaign is advancing legislation in Illinois to create a Commission on the Elimination of Poverty in Illinois, grounded in international human rights standards, which would develop a strategic plan to cut extreme poverty in half by 2015 in Illinois.
