New Report, Healthy Smiles, Healthy Growth
During the 2013-2014 school year, the Chicago Community Oral Health Forum (CCOHF) completed the Healthy Smile, Healthy Growth (HSHG) project, an assessment of the oral health and overweight/obese status of third grade children in Illinois. In general, dental caries and obesity continue to be important health problems affecting a significant segment of Illinois third grade population. Nevertheless, results revealed positive trends for both oral health and growth status in the last decade. Nine main findings were identified. The report will be available on April 1st.
