U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Highlights Heartland Health Outreach's Use of Electronic Records

Recently, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources Administration highlighted Heartland Health Outreach's (HHO) HIV treatment team's effective use of electronic records to improve care. This online system is currently used to track patients and their care; share information among providers, nurses and case managers; and remind patients of upcoming appointments and need for referrals. Our work and the effectiveness of our electronic record system is described here.
