Hire the Mid-America Institute on Poverty to help you meet your research needs

The Mid-America Institute on Poverty (MAIP) has expertise in issues affecting isolated and marginalized populations including: employment programs, homelessness, poverty dimensions, affordable housing, and innovative housing models.

Utilizing quantiative and qualitative approaches, MAIP evaluates pilot programs, analyzes policies, documents systems, and produces final evaluation reports that serve as a means of informing policymakers, program operators, and researchers.

MAIP uses a variety of research techniques including:

  • Surveys
  • Focus groups
  • Case studies
  • Consumer interviewing
  • Best practices synthesis
  • Administrative data sets
  • Scope-of-problem analysis
  • Existing client data review

Many grants require you to set aside funds for evaluation. Include MAIP in grants you are writing. MAIP staff can work with you to jointly submit proposals for pilot programs, analyses, and evaluations.
