With a long-standing committment to creating a structure for incorporating participant governance of the Marjorie Kovler Center, a Client Advisory Council (CAC) was convened in April 2008. Twelve participants originally joined the CAC and nine are active today. Membership reflects the diversity of the Marjorie Kovler Center's client population with representation spanning the globe. The CAC drafted and agreed upon a statement of purpose, basic CAC operations, and quarterly meetings. The CAC plays a key role as a liaison between staff and participants, spokespersons on behalf of the Marjorie Kovler Center and provides input and guidance into programmatic issues. The formation of the CAC naturally enriches and strengthens the Marjorie Kovler Center model. The following represents current membership in the CAC:
Liberia male, chair
Eritrea, male, co-chair
Haiti, female, secretary
Iraq, male and female
Tunisia, female
Uganda, male
