Heartland Alliance operates a health network in Mexico with services in Patzcuaro, Monterrey, and Guadalajara.
These efforts are guided by the Mexico-US Binational Leadership Council. In Patzcuaro, Heartland Alliance Mexico operates Clinica Juchari which provides primary care targeted to the Purepecha indigenous population in the greater area surrounding Lake Patzcuaro. The Patzcuaro clinic is both a center for integrated health strategies as well as a hub providing access to care for the most underserved villages in the region. In Guadalajara, Heartland Alliance Mexico partners with the local government to address the issue of trafficking and sexual exploitation of youth. The project aims to provide healthy futures for the most vulnerable children in the city.
In Monterrey, Hearland Alliance partners with Las Villas to respond to the trauma and health needs of children and youth from impoverished families.
