The spread of HIV/AIDS, which affects millions of people around the world, hits marginalized and vulnerable populations particularly hard. Such populations include MSM (men who have sex with men), sex workers, migrant workers, detained individuals and street youth – people for whom the spread of the virus increases because of a lack of resources and education. Heartland Alliance focuses on HIV treatment, education and prevention programming, and on HIV systems of care provision.
