The Art of Human Rights (formerly Art Against AIDS), hosted by the Junior Board of Heartland Alliance, features live and silent fine art auctions. This after-work cocktail party boasts a variety of mediums by artists from all over the country.
Proceeds from the event will help Heartland Alliance provide housing, healthcare, economic security, and legal protections services to more than 200,000 people whose lives are threatened by poverty and danger, including those living with HIV/AIDS.

Since 2000, the Midwest Light of Human Rights Awards has honored human rights workers and celebrated the contributions of business, civic, and philanthropic leaders in promoting human rights. The luncheon provides critical funding for Heartland Alliance's National Immigrant Justice Center to ensure that its dedicated staff and pro bono attorneys can continue in the upcoming year to promote human rights and access to justice for immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers.

Please join us for the 2011 Chefs and the City premier tasting and fashion show. This year features 30 of Chicago's most sought-after chefs preparing exquisite tastings paired with an elegant selection of wine and cocktails. Set in the luxurious ballroom of the Ritz-Carlton Chicago, guests will experience a fashion show presented by Maria Pinto, Creative Director at Mark Shale. A VIP after party will treat guests to delectable desserts and sweeping views of the city.
This event benefits Vital Bridges Center on Chronic Care, a new division of Heartland Health Outreach. Net proceeds of the event will go toward helping people living in poverty with HIV and AIDS build healthier lives with nutritious food.
